Although his company “The Neutrino Donut” has a funny name, BLANKSPACES Culver City member Earle Hager is serious about helping entrepreneurs and startups get going.
Earle specializes in SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) grant programs for civilian and government customers. SBIR helps small businesses perform research by awarding contracts and grants, while STTR provides similar resources to small businesses that partner with non-profit research institutions.
“[I’ve performed] multiple technology assessments for clients and the government, evaluated grants for multiple agencies, brought companies from Europe and Asia to the US, and toured the world on entrepreneurship programs,” says Earle, whose entire family works as experts in technology assessment.
According to Earle, his dedicated WorkStation at BLANKSPACES “gets me out of the house” to do his work. And when not working he enjoys visiting art museums, used bookstores, and “doing LA – it’s a cool city.” He previously lived in Philadelphia and Austin. “The only good BBQ in LA is from my driveway,” he says.
Startups and entrepreneurs seeking SBIR funding can contact Earle at www.neutrinodonut.com. “I have a serious partner community I can share with folks,” Earle says. “It’s all about undiluted funding,”
