For the safety of our staff and community, tomorrow, Monday, June 1st, 2020, BLANKSPACES Santa Monica and Culver City will be closed in order to clean up and assess the damage due to the civil unrest in Southern California.
The following information is current as of 8PM on Sunday evening. We will continue to monitor the situation via our security cameras overnight. For 24/7 access members, please obey all local curfews and practice extreme caution before attempting to access the office.
Our Santa Monica location was vandalized on Sunday afternoon by one person who broke a door window panel with a hammer. No one appeared to enter the building. One member was present on-site but not hurt in any way. We have temporarily secured the opening and will repair it fully as soon as is possible.
Culver City has not yet been affected although protests continue in the area. During news coverage of protests in Long Beach, our building and logo appeared on camera often. The location has not yet opened and thus no people or valuables are inside.
Thank you for your support and patience during this time. We plan to re-open on Tuesday but will let you know if anything changes via email and our website/social media.
